Critical Thinking

when 23 July 2017 - 30 July 2017
language English
duration 1 week
fee EUR 230

"In every social system, there is a specific set of rules and possible actions. A constant exception from them is a mysterious variable scientists haven’t fully understood yet: human behavior. Psychology, as the science of human consciousness, tackles many questions important for our everyday life, such as why do we choose one product over another, how do we know someone lies to us, what is the best way to make a decision, when does morality develop and where do emotions take place in the body.
During this course, we will cover the following topics:
1) Major schools of thought in psychology
2) Main branches in psychology
3) Cognitive processes vs. emotions and motivation
4) Developmental processes
5) Theories of personality
6) Contemporary approaches to psychopathology
Bearing in mind the importance of methodology in psychology, the workshops will cover the basics of psychological testing and statistics through short games. Additionally, we will conduct replications of the most important psychological experiments, as well as discuss the methods used from an objective perspective. "

Without these expenses, we wouldn't be able to offer a diverse range of high quality courses."
