Painting and Drawing

In our Painting and Drawing course students can learn the following techniques:

- Basic drawing
- Advanced drawing
- Oil painting
- Watercolor
- Tempera painting
- Acrylic painting

The course deals with the most fundamental principles and elements of still-life painting, with an emphasis on the perception and build-up of form, tone, and color on a two-dimensional surface. Emphasis is also on color mixing, handling of brush strokes, glazing, and scumbling, as well as traditional canvas preparation.
The goal is to provide students with an understanding of the most essential elements in life painting.

- The program is entirely hands-on training and consists of classes with the teacher and independent studies (individual practice in the school’s art studio).

Course leader

Our teachers are active in modern art while keeping a very strong insight into traditional painting. They all have a solid artistic background not only on basic techniques but also on Fresco and other traditional methods.
