THUS is an opportunity for students interested in Humanities and Social Sciences to participate in a 4-week-long summer research project in one of the following areas: Ancient History; Archaeology; East Central and Northern Europe in the Middle Ages; European Studies; Fine Arts; History of Historiography; History; Internal Security; International Relations; Medieval Archeology; Medieval History; Modern History; National Security Pedagogics; Philosophy and Theory of Politics; Political Systems; Political Thought ; Psychology

3.Social and language adaptation of minorities and immigrants in contemporary Poland
4.The 2nd half of the 20th century in social memory

7.Editing Contemporary Literary Discourses across Cultures (Selected Approaches)
8.Under narrative rule – master narratives in the interdisciplinary environment
9.The EU Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) – selected aspects

Course leader

The Faculties of History, Humanities, Philosophy and Social Sciences, and Political Science and Security Studies of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland

Target group

Undergraduate and graduate students from foreign universities who are academically active and strongly motivated to pursue a designated research projects

Course aim

The main component of the summer program is an active participation in the selected research project offered by the staff members of the NCU. Apart from the projects, once a week we will organize an invited lecture for the entire group. We will also offer short trips / sightseeing in the Toruń area on selected weekends
