This workshop aims to explore the possibilities of the performer's body in relationship with the space. Through the use of Lecoq’s 20 movements, we enter the realm of balanced movement, which enables the performer to touch the theatrical potential of the off-balance. The 20 movements combine movement qualities such as pushing and pulling, giving into gravity and working against it, and open up a space of the poetical. The body of the performer is a present carrier of those movements and steps back as an individual.
This exploration will then lead us to also explore moments of off-balance and the character emerging. The suspense starts exactly at this delicate and exciting point of change and offers the performer a deep opportunity for creative listening. Alongside a set of the 20 movements, other expressions of the body and the movements of the group will be explored
